Egyptian Qari Given Warm Reception in Bangladesh

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Thousands of people attended a Quranic circle held in Bangladesh where Egyptian qari Mahmoud Kamal al-Najjar recited verses from the holy Book.

It was organized in Gazipur, a district in central Bangladesh and part of the Dhaka Division, according to Al-Watan website.

The Quranic circle was part of the 22^nd annual conference of the Iqra Society of Bangladesh.

The people of the district warmly received the Egyptian Quran reciter.

Al-Najjar said he was surprised at seeing so many people in the Quranic program.

He said he has traveled to many Muslim and Arab countries but this is the first time he sees such a warm reception of a Quran recitation program.

Al-Najjar, who comes from Egypt’s Dakahlia governorate, is a graduate of Al-Azhar Islamic University.

He has traveled to different countries like Kuwait, Pakistan, Turkey, and India for recitation of the Quran.
